Mate Maker Co was born from the question: if you choose to drink, why not drink better? In early 2020 Justin Medcraft, the electronic trio RÜFÜS DU SOL, and Tom Appleton set out to answer that question by creating Mate Maker Co: a clean label hard kombucha that embraces transparency.

For the brand’s launch photography, we focused on the iconic M monogram (designed by Florida-based Break Maiden), which symbolizes Mate Maker’s mission of creating organic, sustainably-minded drinks that bring people together. We shot the beverages surrounded by their real fruit ingredients and around two key scenes where Mate Maker would be consumed: at the beach, and during nights in with friends.
